A Whimsical Wedding ... and the Wild Year That Followed

My husband and I married at the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Ball last year.  Spanish Town, as we lovingly refer to this annual event, is a fabulously wild gala featuring all things hot pink ... and our wedding was no different.

As we approach our first anniversary tonight (yes, the date of the ball changes every year, but we are just going to pretend our anniversary is the ball ... I mean, wouldn't you rather a built-in party to celebrate your anniversary instead of a random date on a calendar?), we are fondly reminiscing about how magical our wedding was and how much we've enjoyed the year since.

We attended a lot of parties.

We wore a lot of costumes.

We did a lot of acro.

We did a lot of acro in costumes at parties.

Kevin ran a half marathon.  Karla took up lyra.  We celebrated our successes. We walked, we kayaked, dined.  We danced, and we laughed, and we enjoyed life.

We especially loved eating and drinking our way through Mexico City, and we can't wait to go back!

What will Year Two of K+K bring?  Only time will tell!  Check back next year ... which date, you ask?  Just check for when the Spanish Town Ball is in 2021, and that's when we'll be celebrating.
