Naturally New York: Part II (Central Park)

Now that the summer heat is upon us, I'm dreaming of New York City in springtime.

photo 329_zpsb3f0112f.jpg Central Park in spring is magical.  The flowers are just starting to paint the landscape, kids are out playing in the grass, yet it's still cool enough for a light jacket.  A girl could spend all of her vacation days wandering Central Park in springtime.

There's so much to do: baseball to play (or watch), rocks to scramble, boats to sail, and paths to meander. photo 301_zps13b6dea9.jpg photo 235_zpsf5ff542b.jpg photo 213_zps304efbd0.jpg The animals seem to love the spring weather, too! photo 225_zpscdc1c406.jpg photo 336_zps0b60ea0b.jpg photo 324_zpsca4d27e4.jpg This funny duck kept ducking under the water, and then spinning himself dry. Very cute! photo 240_zpsa157541a.jpg And of course, the flowers are just amazing. Ah-MAHZ-ing, as the incomparable Seth Rudetsky would say. photo SethampDrew_zps58164e9a.jpg Oops! (Hi Seth! Thanks for the picture!!) Now back to flowers ..... photo 254_zps4d3409a1.jpg photo 236_zps027e99d8.jpg Some of the really fun things to see were people practicing under the many bridges -- harp, violin, and ballet. photo 334_zpse368df26.jpg photo 267_zps4a5f3669.jpg But of course, the city is always right there. photo 278_zps3d5e7766.jpg Vibrant. Alive. Calling me back.
