We loved Mexico City so much that I could write a never-ending series of blogs about it. But I'll stop. I have to move onto to other things, other cities, other countries.
But first ... here's a smattering of the rest of March in Mexico City:
We visited Teotihucan:
Early morning balloon rides over Teotihuacan. |
We climbed to the top of Pyramid of the Sun. |
Perfect day at Teotihuacan! |
We toured Templo Mayor:
tzompantli, or skull rack |
Chacmool on Tlaloc temple |
We relaxed in Chapultepec Park:
Ice cream FTW! |
Alas de México (sculptor: Jorge Marín) |
Of course we ate and drank our way around La Roma, our delightful little part of the city.
Our first meal in Mexico City! |
Boozy ice cream: YUM! |
Churros and Hot Chocolate |
Limantour, #11 of the 50 Best Bars in the World |
And for our final breakfast, we found the tallest restaurant so we could see the city from above.
Brunch at Miralto |
If I could go back tomorrow, I would. We both would. It was a perfectly wonderful place for a honeymoon for two foodies who love walking, exploring, and enjoying the local culture.
